We stayed at Amalfi, in a nice hotel. It was plain, and simple, however, the view was gorgeous, and the island had a relaxing vibe. The vibe there is beautiful and unique. We had bed and breakfast.
It is nice to walk around during the day, and see the famous lemons on every shop front. The town centre at Amalfi, was lively, a lot of shops and restaurants.
Each day we caught the boat fairies across to another island, such as Capri, Positano and Sorrento. We would spend the day there walking around, checking out the town and eating a delicious meal.
The sandal shops in Positano are beautiful, where there is many sandals to choose from, and they are a local delight to purchase, shop for, and wear. The sandals are comfortable, and look pretty. We bought two pairs each. Affordable too.
My favourite place in Positano, is the private beach area, all the way to the right of the island when you are looking at the island from the water. It was so private, and the views were beautiful. A chicken Caesar salad cost $38AUD.
Be warned of tourist traps, the restaurants on the water front, where the food is not so good, and not many people eat there.
So many nice things to see by the see. There is a beautiful hatted restaurant in Amalfi, called Santa Caterina Hotel. It sits on the water, and the food and service is amazing. Highly recommend.
There wasn’t a lot of shopping, however, there was a lot of sightseeing.
