Places to sightsee, castles, Like Versailles in France, is a beautiful sight, so grand and memorable. The Eiffel Tower, the view from the top!
Vienna is a beautiful city and great place to travel! The winter weather is amazing, the huge palaces, the history, and overall the joy in the air of the city makes it easy for Vienna to be a good travel destination. Delicious bakeries, a good Air Bnb, clean, modern and spacious IS ONLY TWO THINGS the city has to offer! We ate Austrian sausages in the apartment for dinner and breakfast. The New Year's Eve Ball, at the famous Town Hall, and the interior of the ballroom, was like Cinderella. BOOKING tours was easy and convenient, they take you to the Palaces, and are good value and COVERS A LOT OF SIGHTSEEING. For a GOOD TOUR, take the one where the guide explains each room of the palace, and the history of the Empress. A tour to Salzburg, 3 hours out of Vienna, with a beautiful lake with the cutest houses, and with the snow and cold, it is just A PERFECT sight to see! Salzburg is also where the SOUND OF MUSIC was filmed, and it does resemble it exactly! Further in, is Mozart's old house, where he grew up, where walking through teaches you a lot about Mozart. Vienna has a lot of Mozart influence. The main streets of the city are beautiful to stroll through, with old style buildings, and it is very photogenic. The Spanish Riding School is a white horse show, which is intriguing. A show of beautiful white horses, dancing and jumping, that makes you wonder how they trained them?! In addition, the "Hansel and Gretel" Opera at the Vienna Opera House is a highlight, and highly recommended. The acting, the opera singing, and the performance is outstanding!! I haven't seen anything like it before! Maybe it's the culture of the city that oozes through, and makes Vienna fun and a happy place to be!
The French Riveria, favourite spot, "Nice", a lovely wonderful city, and lots to see and do! STAYING IN a clean petite apartment rental via Air Bnb with the cutest stairs up to the room, a bit old fashioned and European, a bit spiral, and non-linear staircase, and an interesting and endearing street, not quite an alley because it's not hidden, and the main door is large! Nice doesn't have alley's, every discrete street is a recognised street. It's nice to walk around in the streets, one day I was lost trying to find a yoga place and then head back to the Air Bnb apartment, it isn't an easy place to find your way around if you take the less known streets! However, the Promenade is nice and delightful, and sets the scene for the rest of the city. The beach is nice, nice to swim in, pebbly, however, really full during the day, unless you pay for sunbathing chairs with umbrellas in the private beach area, which is nice, and if you've got extra euro's well worth it!
It is a short TRAIN RIDE TO CANNES to see where the Cannes Film Festival is held, which is a beautiful sight! You can get tours around the city, including views from the top, and A BIT OF HISTORY ON THE BIG CELEBS IN CANNES. In addition, seeing the beautiful red carpet, and seeing all the expensive boats and yachts in the water, reminds me of all European oceans! The food is reasonable and good in Nice, some places you can budget and some places eat normally and affordably! Overall, a good travel destination, I found it fun, special, and sophisticated. The shopping in Nice is niche too! For example, a new wardrobe at "Maje", a French designer brand, is a good option. The Nice store is more "street boutique" than city sleeker style. Nice and relaxed!
Finally, Montenegro is a great place and a favourite to visit! St Steven's also known as "Sveti Stefan" is a private and small island, the sea is beautiful to swim in! There are lots of places to see, such as Kotor, a beautiful cultural old town, with a fancy look. Budva, the busy and perfect clubbing destination, a good sight for first time visitors, even just a stroll through! For more relaxed place to stay, also beautiful and beachy, there is HERCEG NOVI, and there is the old town of Bar, which is nice and less touristy. There are many more places, however, this is where I've been, the main places, and where I recommend. It's a beautiful part of the country, on the Adriatic Sea.
