Firstly, let’s address the question, ‘why’ life coaching and what is it? It is about making positive changes that propel you forward, instead of being stuck in the same place. Secondly, it is about setting goals and achieving a dream life. That looks different for all people. What are your dreams? And do you act every day to achieve small and big goals?
Coaching is a holistic method where coach’s aim to inspire clients to do things that align with their dreams and overall vision. Ask yourself, am I heading in the right direction? Coach’s assist clients to discover their authentic self.
I aim to inspire people to improve, upgrade their lifestyle, and progress forward. Lord knows it’s hard to it by yourself, daily, let alone come up with the ideas of improvement, that’s why I’m here. I’m not perfect, some days I rest, some days I get more than my fair share of work done in a day, however, most of all, I have a goal each day that contributes to the larger goals of wellbeing, a dream day, a morning routine, and overall, my dream life. I started with vision boards, and now I am creating my own positive power affirmations that brighten my day and keep me positive and grounded.
I needed to let go of bad habits and patterns that left me feeling crappy, and my life coaching course helped me uncover my genuine self. It’s helped to see the people I need in my life, and to inspire others, instead of holding jealousy.
When times get challenging, I often go inside and look at my limiting beliefs (as opposed to my empowerment beliefs) and let them come up for me. Embracing them can be a powerful thing. I review my values, and make sure I’m aligning with them.
I still find vision boards useful and add to my vision boards every now and again. In addition, I still find fashion inspiring, and love fashion styling. I believe in the power of dressing well. For example, planning my outfits for the day. I practise more self-care and self-love these days, it gives me a sense of peace and relaxation. For example, a face mask and a bath night.
I allow myself to eat the foods I desire and have a healthy weight for myself in mind. For example, three regular meals a day. I stay hydrated and give myself time to rest and relax. I enjoy watching a movie or a funny TV show. These are all the wonderful things coaching can bring to someone’s life, day or month. It can be a wonderful life, with the right strategies!
Coaching Tips -
1. Work towards your strengths – write them down, uncover them, and then practise them.
2. Embrace self-limiting beliefs, be aware of them – what belief is blocking you?
3. Practise mindfulness – through meditation, or personally, my favourite, incense and essential oils. It brings about awareness yourself, others and the world around you.
4. Live by your own expectations – not someone else’s.
